Lessons

Beginner Level - 30 minutes $25/lesson or 45 minutes $35/lesson

Designed for students with no prior piano experience. Learn basic music theory, finger placement, and simple melodies. Perfect for children and adults new to playing an instrument.

Benefits at the beginner level: 1) Develop a strong musical foundation, 2) Learn to read sheet music, 3) Build confidence in playing, and 4) Discover the joy of music.

Intermediate Level - 60 minutes $45/lesson

Designed for students who have mastered basic techniques are are ready to focus on musicality and expression. Repetoire explores more complex structures, chords and scales. Perfect for motivated teens and adults for fast tracking growth or students with 1-2 years of experience.

Benefits at the intermediate level: 1) Enhance technical proficiency, 2) Expand repetoire, 3) Improve sight-reading, and 4) Develop personal musical interpretation.

About Mary Goldthorp

My Background

I have completed significant college coursework in piano performance, music theory and composition. I work as a private piano teacher in the Melbourne/Palm Bay, FL area.

Currently, lessons may take place in your home or in my home studio. I teach Beginner through Late Intermediate Level students: Children, Teens, Adults.

My Lessons

I offer weekly private lessons according to the Studio Policies.

For Beginners: 30,45, or 60 minute lessons.
For Non-Beginners: 60-minute lessons. Tuition is paid monthly.

Explore the Joy of Music

Anyone with a strong desire, whether 5 or 95 years old, can learn to play the piano. Besides generating joy, planying the piano enhances motor coordination, improves self-esteem and builds new neural pathways resulting in sharp cognition. Teaching is my joy!
